Friendly talks that help people stay safer online

Plain English talks for community groups, charities, clubs and local organisations.

"Our sessions are relaxed and friendly — there's no pressure to speak up, no technical jargon and no such thing as a silly question. You're welcome to sit quietly and listen, or join in as much as you like. Most people leave feeling more confident than when they arrived."

Why group learning works

Everyone deserves to feel safe and included in the digital world. When people learn alongside others facing the same questions, something shifts. Confidence grows. Questions become easier to ask.

What makes our sessions different

Our talks are built around the people in the room, not a script. We start with the questions people are already asking — about emails that don't look right, phone calls that feel suspicious, or passwords they can never remember — and work from there.

There's no jargon, no assumption that you know anything about technology, and no such thing as a silly question. We go at whatever pace feels comfortable, and nobody is ever put on the spot.

Most people tell us they leave feeling more confident — not because they've learned a long list of rules, but because things that felt confusing now make a bit more sense.

What people leave with

People often arrive at our sessions feeling uncertain — unsure what to click, who to trust, or whether they're doing something wrong. That feeling doesn't have to last.

By the end of a Lightkeepers session, most people leave with a clearer head. They know what to look out for, what to do if something feels wrong, and that there's somewhere to turn if they need help again.

The four things we hear most often afterwards: greater confidence online, better awareness of scams, practical steps they can take straight away, and — perhaps most importantly — the reassurance that they're not alone in finding any of this confusing.

Rooted in Surrey. Focused on people

Lightkeepers is a Community Interest Company based in Epsom. We're not a national organisation delivering a generic presentation — we're local people who understand the communities we work with, the concerns people have, and the questions they're too embarrassed to ask elsewhere.

Everything we do is shaped by real conversations with real people across Surrey. When we come to your group, we're not just delivering a talk — we're listening, learning, and making sure what we share is genuinely useful to the people in the room.

  • Part of the Surrey community

  • Built on real conversations with local people

  • Committed to making digital safety accessible
